The Shovel Knight saga continues! GS-008 Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment The Definitive Soundtrack brings all 25 exciting tracks from the game's second expansion pack to both CD and Vinyl, as well as iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify and other digital storefronts for the first time.
Esteemed Japanese illustrator Hitoshi Ariga (Mega Man, Pokémon) lends his talents once again to design a brand new cover for the soundtrack as seen above, with coloring done by Ayano Koshiro (Streets of Rage). Both the 1-CD and 2-LP gatefold packages contain the complete tracklist crafted by the talented Jake Kaufman, while the vinyl release also includes a download code containing the complete digital soundtrack. The vinyl edition comes in two variants, a Limited Edition (Gold and Silver Vinyl) and a Standard Edition (Red and Black Vinyl).

The Generation Series is directed and produced by Mohammed Taher and Marco Guardia, who recently worked together on the Billboard-charted Street Fighter II The Definitive Soundtrack. Their past joint works include the Brave Wave albums World 1-2 (2013), In Flux (2014), the ongoing Retro-Active albums by Ninja Gaiden's Keiji Yamagishi, and more. The Generation Series name, logo, and artwork templates have been designed by Cory Schmitz, who previously branded Brave Wave, Oculus, Sony Computer Entertainment Santa Monica, and more. Shovel Knight is developed and published by Yacht Club Games in North America and PAL territories, by Nintendo Co., Ltd. in Japan for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, and by 8-4, Ltd. in Japan for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
