Shovel Knight: King of Cards + Showdown The Definitive Soundtrack comes to streaming, CD and vinyl beginning late 2020! 

Complete collection of all four Shovel Knight soundtracks also in production 

The Shovel Knight saga reaches its conclusion! Yacht Club Games and Brave Wave Productions will release Jake Kaufman’s soundtrack for the fourth and final Shovel Knight chapter beginning late 2020 for streaming and early 2021 for CD and vinyl.

As with previous Shovel Knight soundtracks, Shovel Knight: King of Cards + Showdown The Definitive Soundtrack will be part of Brave Wave’s Generation Series lineup of prestigious video game soundtracks, coming in at no. 018. 

Japanese illustrator Hitoshi Ariga returns to create one last visual masterpiece exclusive to the cover of the soundtrack, along with his wife, Ayano Koshiro, who will act as the coloring artist. Ariga’s artwork will be revealed in November 2020. 

The CD edition will contain all tracks from King of Cards + Showdown across 2 CDs. The soundtrack will also major digital services such as Apple Music, iTunes, Spotify, Amazon Music and others in late 2020. The CD edition will retail for $17.99. 

The vinyl edition will come on 3 12” 150g colored and black vinyl. The first two records, which contain Sides A through D, will feature all 41 tracks in their complete glory, curated especially for vinyl. In addition, for the third record, Side E will contain all nine tracks from the extra Shovel Knight Showdown mode originally released alongside King of Cards. Side F will contain five more tracks from the original Shovel Knight (Shovel of Hope) that were not included in the original 2016 release of that soundtrack due to run time limitations. As of this release, every track from the complete Shovel Knight package will be available on vinyl. The standard colored vinyl edition will retail for US$49.99 on vinyl and the limited edition will retail for US$59.99. 

As always, the CD and vinyl editions will contain a full-color booklet featuring artwork and liner notes by series creators. The vinyl edition will also contain a download code for every track from King of Cards + Showdown.

In addition, Yacht Club and Brave Wave are preparing the ultimate collector’s item for Shovel Knight afficionados: the Shovel Knight Treasure Trove Complete Vinyl Soundtrack Box! This gorgeous and sturdy box will contain all four vinyl releases in the Shovel Knight lineup: GS-002 Shovel Knight, GS-006 Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows, GS-008 Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment and GS-018: Shovel Knight: King of Cards + Showdown. Available as a standalone product, existing owners of previous Shovel Knight vinyl can purchase the box by itself and slot their records into it seamlessly. Fans who are new to vinyl will be able to pick up any or all of the four soundtracks for a complete set.
