Award-winning composer Lena Raine, Shinichi Sakamoto, BUN BUN, Tee Lopes, and Fourge join forces with the Brave Wave music label

TOKYO - February 4, 2020 - Brave Wave Productions is thrilled to announce several new additions to their star-studded talent roster. Composers Lena Raine (Celeste), Shinichi Sakamoto (Wonder Boy series), BUN BUN (Mega Man 3), Tee Lopes (Sonic Mania), and newcomer Fourge are joining forces with Brave Wave to provide increased accessibility to their music both by creators and listeners alike. To commemorate these exciting additions to the team, Fourge has released his musical debut, a highly textured ambient album titled Shifting Approximations of Solitude, which includes a set of cover arts unique for every track taken by label director Mohammed Taher around Switzerland's Alpine highlands. The download also comes with six different 6K-resolution wallpapers from the same photo session. The album is available to pre-order today:

"I wanted to take the listener through different worlds, throwing them into a vast and immersive diorama of sounds," comments Fourge. "From close up and intimate mood setting to washed out soundscapes, the album takes the listener through all of the places a mind can possibly go. I hope people enjoy the final product as much as I did creating it over the past year."

All the newly joined composers are working on exciting projects for Brave Wave, including new original tracks and game remixes for an upcoming mega-album, as well as new solo projects with other Brave Wave members. Tee Lopes is working on a solo album heavily inspired by legendary Japanese band YMO, and includes collaborations with Mega Man composer Manami Matsumae and Ninja Gaidencomposer Keiji Yamagishi. Lena Raine is also planning her solo album with label director Mohammed Taher, featuring many beloved Brave Wave members. More details will be revealed throughout the year.

About Brave Wave Productions

Brave Wave is a record label based in Tokyo and dedicated to exploring the interplay between videogames, music, and nostalgia. The dual-natured label produces and publishes award-winning solo albums by Japanese game composers, as well as newly restored soundtracks under the supervision of the original game composers and sound teams. Brave Wave is a multinational label, run and directed by Kuwait-based Mohammed Taher, Japan-based Alex Aniel, and Swiss engineer Marco Guardia.

The label is known for bridging the gap between Western and Japanese creators, best evident in the videogame Shovel Knight (by Yacht Club Games) in which Mega Man composer Manami Matsumae was able to contribute music to. The label is prominently known for its Generation Series line of restored soundtracks, starting with Street Fighter II The Definitive Soundtrack which sold out in minutes and later appeared on the Billboard charts. Brave Wave continues its mission of supporting game composers on their solo albums, with over a dozen non-soundtrack projects planned for the upcoming years and directed by label head Mohammed Taher.
